Summer nostalgia

Updated: Nov 3, 2022

As we are probably enjoying the last days of this Indian summer, I think back to the past few months that have brought me as much joy as change. Embracing my feelings and letting things go have been key to make it to the next season. From my personal life to my dressing room, focusing on essentials has been my moto.

Life is full of surprises, whether you like it or not. I’ve learnt it to my cost.

When things don’t turn out the way you thought they would and you have no control over it, escaping seems to be the only way.

Seaside getaways, long walks in parcs, self-care retreats to the spa… sometimes, a simple change of scenery can bring you the peace you need and help you step back.

That’s what happened to me when I unpacked my things in this little oasis of quietness.

Here, life is made of rattan, green plants don’t die and harmony seems to be everywhere… even in my suitcase:

  • Black leather sandals to free my feet and help me better connect with my roots

  • High waisted linen pants to free my every move while keeping it classy

  • Oversized short-sleeve shirt to bring a vintage vibe to the look

  • A power stone beaded bracelet to boost my energy and balance my emotions

  • Straw hat to protect me from the burning sunlight

Then was the time to reset.

Time to let go of whatever needs to go.

Time to hold on to what’s essential.

Time to focus on things that bring you joy and make you feel good.

Only good vibes must remain. Just like here, in this little “coin de paradis”.

Today, as the fall kicks-in, the cold wind is blowing away the very last bit of doubts.

The pouring rain is washing away past disillusions and clearing out the way to a new chapter of life, filled with new fashion adventures. Join me, will you?
