This Holiday season, men’s accessories go beyond the usual watches. Necklaces, pendants, earrings, rings… Get ready to ask Santa for a jewerly box !
It is commun knowledge that a nice pair of earrings or a fancy pendant can easily upscale any woman’s look. Why should it be different for men ?
The key not to go wrong is to keep the overlook simple and chose bold accessories to spice things up.
For this holiday look, I’m wearing a simple (yet stylish) black and white outfit, including an oversized black blazer from the H&M x Balmain collection that I remember spending hours to queue for when the capsule collection launched in 2015.
This blazer is made of heavy gold metallic buttons that inspired me to complete the look.
If you know me or have been following my account for a bit, you know for sure that gold is my favorite color tone. There is something royal and magical about it that I enjoy very much.
Although it is often said that we should avoid to color coordinate our accessories, I believe that particular look wouldn't be as strong without the full gold package.
So it goes :
- Just Cavalli black and gold sneakers at my feet
- Gold rings (fashion jewerly mostly, except for my wedding ring) on my fingers
- Versace inspired Medusa black and gold pendant around my neck
- Gold double loop belt at my waiste
“The key not to go wrong is to keep the overlook simple and chose bold accessories to spice things up."
TIP : it’s ok to wear fashion jewerly but stay away from cheap shiny things, especially when you chose gold. It’s one thing to go a little extra with your accessories but it’s another to dress up for the Carnival.
TIP2 : If you decide to take the plunge with gold jewerly, I’d recommend to avoïd feminine cuts and fabrics in your clothing. Only Harry Style can pull that off.
The fashion industry is evolving towards a genderless fashion. It’s now more acceptable then ever for men to wear jewerly, so why don’t we ?
