Easy and comfy, the knitted turtle neck is a classic go-to look from November to February ! It goes with literally everything and keeps you warm while the last leaves of autumn fall from the trees.
Easy, comfy, classy.
Forget the old, shapeless, pilled and scratchy woll sweater that grandma got you for christmas last year.
The knitted turtle neck is actually a must-have of the men’s winter closet (and one of my wife’s favorite), alongside the wool coat and the leather chelsea boots.
I personally find it both flattering and practical as the thick knit brings structure to my slim silouhette and gives me this comfortable feeling I’m looking for when november’s cold kicks in.
Here, the twisted shape of the knit brings a little originality to this very simple design while the blue color makes it really easy to pair with basically anything.
For this shoot, I chose to wear it with other basic pieces such as a slim fit pair of jeans, a short camel wool coat and a pair of camel chelsea boots.
> Tip : If you have a sensitive skin like mine (especially in winter), you may want to check the type of wool your turtle neck is made of. You want comfy, not itchy !
Just to be safe, wear it on top of a long-sleeve t-shirt or a basic cotton turtle neck.
> Tip 2 : Don’t underestimate this bonus layer. You never know what can happen and the turtle neck may keep you so warm, you may feel the need to take it off at some point. You don’t want to be wearing your PJ top underneath.
I don’t know about you but when I look at these pictures, I basically just want to grab a capuccino to go and take a walk in the parc before the sun sets.
