The electrifying color duo of the season met again during Men’s Winter Fashion Week like two strangers who'd have bumped into each other in the narrow stairwell of an after party. Everybody saw them and no one could deny the heat between these two...
Last month, our Belgian star designer and co-creative Director of PRADA, Raf Simons presented « Possible feelings », PRADA's FW 21 menswear collection.
As the collection’s title states clearly, the show was all about feelings for the eyes, the skin and the ears. From colorful marbles on the runway floor to super soft fabrics on the models (and the walls), Raf really covered it all!
While I was watching the show behind the screen of my computer, my senses were indeed challenged: I could almost feel the softness of these faux-fur walls on my skin and the contrast between the multiple color blocks got into my head like the unexpected glance of a beautiful stranger I'd have crossed in a stairwell.
Dressing up for tonight’s dinner, I'm thinking of PRADA's Possible Feelings collection and I'm hoping to create similar emotions with my look of the night.
I walk you through it step by step:
A bi-colored blazer where bright red meets deep violet on the softest velvet
A white cotton shirt and a pair of black tailored pants as a neutral ever winning basis for fancy nights out
A round clip on wallet in black croco to embrace the practical mindset of 2021 fashion and the rising trend of mini bags for men
A chunky gold chain and a pair of black sueded leather cowboy boots to give a rock-n-roll twist to the whole thing
TIP : If your are tired of deformed back pockets but still not convinced about men’s bags, give the clip-on wallet a shot ! It’s very « in » at the moment and will free your girlfriend's purse from your big fat wallet!
Rumor has it that red and violet were not the only ones breaking the social distancing rules in the stairwell that night.
But I guess we will never find out...
