Here is the story of a city adventurer whose winter fashion journey ends in a remote saloon, far away from the runway spotlights and right next to a martini glass.

Wandering around the city at the end of Men’s Fashion Week, some self-called "Fashionista Jones" enters what once was a bar...
As I push the double-wing door to enter the place, I come face to face with an empty counter and must therefore refrain the idea of asking the invisible bartender for a nice and chilly cocktail.
The heavy velvet curtains and subdued lighting make the whole place look like an abandoned western saloon. Flowers bouquets have dried out and some unidentified green plants have widely forced their way into the place like they couldn’t wait any longer to have a drink.
As I sit on a light brown leather bench, the idea of enjoying a sip of cosmopolitan becomes indeed more and more obsessing and the simple thought of holding a martini glass in my hand seems to be everywhere in my head (and on the walls).

If this invisible bartender is not willing to share the secrets of his cosmopolitan recipe with me, I am, on the other hand, ready to list all the fashion ingredients that make up the elixir of the "fancy" adventurer.
In a cocktail shaker, add :
1 oz Practicality : Patch pockets and cross body leather bag to store and carry everything you (don’t) need;
1 oz Neutrality : A neutral color palette that goes from deep brown to light beige, with touches of grey to blend in the city landscape;
1 oz Comfort : lose and wide cuts to be comfortable all along the journey;
1 1/2 oz Style : seasonal must-have pieces like a long brown leather trench coat and a long sleeve polo with handdrawn patterns all over;
1 twist of Accessories : a braided brown leather belt used a lasso to capture your prey at the waist; and a camel fedora to protect you from heavy rains;
Shake it all up. Serve over ice or neat, in a martini glass of course!

TIP 1: The handdrawn pattern brings a very arty vibe to any looks. Give it a try !
TIP 2: If you like the overall inspiration of this outfit, I suggest your check out Hermes’ FW 21 collection here
Our 2021 winter fashion adventure comes to an end in this bar.
If you're still thirsty for fancy fashion, hold on to your bar stool and wait for my next round. I'm preparing you a spring cocktail and you will love it!
