Concerto in R Major

Updated: Jun 6, 2021

For centuries, music and fashion have always had each other’s back. Or should I say "Bach"? This blog post sets the tone for an unusual fashion melody that I wish you will listen on a loop. Have your seat and enjoy the concert.

Although I’ve never really wanted to play any instrument, I’ve always enjoyed listening to music. And call me old fashion but classical music has always been part of my playlist.

I believe classical music brings a whole new dimension to a story. What would Sleeping Beauty be without the amazing music of Tchaikovsky ? Would Mr Darcy and Ms. Bennet’s passionate romance resonate the same in the British countryside without these few iconic piano notes? Would Neuschwanstein castle be as enchanted without Wagner’s magical melody echoing in the Bavarian forests?

Classical music is timeless and can literally take us through the four seasons. So can fashion.

I may not be the next Antonio Vivaldi but I’m definitely writing my own fashion partition and invite you to read it very carefully to avoid any wrong notes.

  • An officer jacket, in a royal-blue velvet to create a feeling as soft to the skin as the music can be to the ear;

  • A white pleated shirt with high and detailed collar to be the conductor of my own fashion symphony;

  • A golden necklace worn as a hair accessory to make me feel like a musical king;

  • A pair of ripped and wash-out slim jeans to contrast with a very classical outfit;

  • A pair of shiny golden sneakers to jump from F to C with verve

TIP : The high collar shirt is a smart choice to dress up for a formal event. It brings a very classy twist to the outfit and allows you to stay away from the tie.

TIP 2 : Keep your velvet pieces of clothing under cover. This fabric attracts dust and hair like no others.

Here comes the last act of my fashion opera. I hope you enjoyed the sound of it and I invite you to stay tuned for the next performance.
